Carlos Rubira Infante: un enfoque analítico de la producción musical del compositor

Abstract

Theoretical traditions of musicology have analyzed the life and work of popular composers for educational and political purposes. The purpose of this research is to present an analytical approach to the work of Carlos Rubira Infante in the context of popular music using, a scientific method and a constructivist approach, among other methods. For this, I have analyzed eight songs musically, literally and historically, and to support the dissemination of his work through seven symphonic arrangements his of most popular compositions. The result of this research reinforces the view that the more one know, the life story that is reflected in each song, the more the content is valued through a holistic appreciation of Ecuadorian music. We conclude by proposing a research model with the enhancement of the image of Carlos Rubira Infante as a nationalist personage leading in direction: THE LOVE OF COUNTRY.
