| en_US |
dc.description.abstract | In December 2019, the virus that causes COVID-19 was first identified in the city of Wuhan, China. By February 2020, this disease started to spread internationally and in March 2020, the World Health Organization declared the COVID-19 outbreak a global pandemic. This caused the mandatory confinement of people all around the world with the hope of reducing the spread of the virus. At the beginning of the COVID-19's pandemic, pedestrian and vehicular mobility was restricted, the educational system and several jobs were carried out virtually. The home became the main stage for carrying out all day-to-day activities, forcing professionals to compensate for fundamental concepts of a domestic space such as habitability, comfort, open and fluid space, functionality and spatial efficiency, etc. . In this context, this document reveals which are the spaces that were most transformed and which are the activities that were carried out the most during confinement, which reveal the needs of a typical family with an average economy in the city of Cuen - ca-Ecuador. . In addition, in response to the problems and needsobtained in the research, two domestic spatial proposals are made for two types of housing, a semi-detached house on two sides and a one-story apartment, where solutions are proposed that respond to the new ways of living, identified in the pandemic caused by COVID-19. The result of this study allows us to propose criteria that seek to give importance to the true identity of domestic architecture, with the primary participation of the human being, becoming a reference source for similar situations. | en_US |
