dc.description | ANTECEDENTES: según la Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS) y la Organización Panamericana de Salud (OPS), la DM2 es una patología muy común y representa aproximadamente del 85% al 90% de todos los casos de diabetes, convirtiéndose en un problema de salud pública, debido a las complicaciones, el tratamiento que esta engloba, los efectos secundarios de los mismos pueden ser factores que impacten la calidad de vida de los usuarios. OBJETIVO GENERAL: determinar la calidad de vida en usuarios/as con diabetes mellitus tipo 2, Centro de Salud El Valle, Cuenca 2021. METODOLOGÍA: se realizó un estudio Cuantitativo de tipo descriptivo de corte transversal, se aplicó el cuestionario Diabetes Quality of Life (DQOL). Los datos fueron analizados mediante el sistema SPSS versión 22 y Microsoft Excel, los resultados se presentaron mediante tablas. RESULTADOS: la población de estudio fue 65.91% de usuarios de sexo femenino, el 53.79% fueron adultos mayores, el 95.45% proceden de la parroquia El Valle, el 62.12% son casados y el 42.42% tienen trabajo, la comorbilidad más acentuada fue la hipertensión arterial con el 32.58%, el 46.97% presentan un nivel socioeconómico C-(Medio bajo), el 97.73% de los pacientes presentan una calidad de vida media. CONCLUSIÓN: el estudio revela la calidad de vida de los pacientes con DM2 que acuden al Centro de Salud El Valle es media. Por otra parte, la calidad de vida tuvo relación estadística con la procedencia (p=0,015) y el estado civil (p=0,050). | en_US |
dc.description.abstract | BACKGROUND: according to the World Health organization (WHO), and the Pan-American health organization (PAHO), type 2 diabetes mellitus is a common pathology. It represents approximately 85% to 90% of the overall cases. In fact, it has become a public health problem, due to complications, the treatment that this often involves, the side effects of these can be factors that impact the quality of life of users. GENERAL OBJECTIVE: determine the quality of life of people living with type 2 diabetes mellitus at “El Valle” Health Center, Cuenca, 2021. METHODOLOGY: a study with a quantitative approach of a descriptive cross-sectional type was carried out. The Diabetes Quality of Life (DQOL) questionnaire was applied to the population. The data were analyzed using the SPSS version 22 system and Microsoft Excel. The results are presented using tables. RESULTS: the study population consisted of 65.91% of female users, 53.79% of elderly adults, 95.45% of the El Valle parish, 62.12% are married and 42.42% work, the most accentuated comorbidity was hypertension with 32.58%, 46.97% present a socioeconomic level C- (Medium low), 97.73% of the patients present a medium quality of life. CONSLUSION: the study shows that the quality of life of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus who attend the “El Valle” Health Center is average. On the other hand, quality of life was statistically related to provenance (p = 0.015) and marital status (p=0.050). | en_US |
