dc.description | INTRODUCCIÓN: COVID-19 un problema de salud global que constituye el mayor desafío, inicio en Asia a finales del 2019 expandiéndose a cada continente, excepto la Antártida (1). Los casos incrementaron aceleradamente en todos los países afectado gran parte de la población y causando altos índices de morbimortalidad. El lavado de manos y uso de mascarilla constituyen las barreras esenciales para frenar su rápida expansión. OBJETIVO: determinar la aplicación del lavado de manos y uso de mascarillas frente a la emergencia sanitaria COVID -19 en los comerciantes del mercado "Privado" de Macas, 2021. METODOLOGÍA: se realizó un estudio con enfoque cuantitativo, tipo descriptivo analítico de corte transversal, con una muestra de 95 comerciantes. Los datos se recopilaron mediante un cuestionario creado por las autoras. Los resultados se analizaron con el programa SPSS versión 2.1 y representaron en tablas y gráficos. RESULTADOS: 62,1% son mujeres; 69,5% mestizos; 41,1% casados y solteros; 28,4% primaria completa y bachilleres; 41,1% en edades de 18 a 55 años. El nivel de aplicación del estudio fue medio, los porcentajes en las variables planteadas son superiores a 33,32%. Los participantes cumplen el lavado de manos, aunque no todos lo hagan de manera adecuada; 44,2% en una frecuencia diaria de 4 a 7 veces durante 10 a 20 segundos y 34,7% durante toda la jornada. El 45% frecuentemente cubre boca y nariz; 49,5% usan la mascarilla higiénica y 44,2% consideran que estas medidas son necesariamente efectivas. | en_US |
dc.description.abstract | INTRODUCTION: COVID-19, a global health problem that constitutes the greatest challenge, began in Asia at the end of 2019, expanding to every continent, except Antarctica (1). Cases increased rapidly in all countries, affecting a large part of the population and causing high rates of morbidity and mortality. Hand washing and the use of a mask are essential barriers to stop its rapid expansion. OBJECTIVE: To determine the application of hand washing and the use of masks against the health emergency COVID -19 in the merchants of the "Private" market of Macas, 2021. METHODOLOGY: A study was carried out with a quantitative approach, a descriptive analytical cross-sectional type, with a sample of 95 merchants. Data were collected using a questionnaire created by the authors. The results were analyzed with the SPSS version 2.1 program and represented in tables and graphs. RESULTS: 62.1% are women; 69.5% mixed race; 41.1% married and single; 28.4% complete primary and high school; 41.1% in ages 18 to 55 years. The level of application of the study was medium, the percentages in the proposed variables are higher than 33.32%. Participants carry out hand washing, although not all do it adequately; 44.2% on a daily frequency of 4 to 7 times for 10 to 20 seconds and 34.7% throughout the day. 45% frequently cover the mouth and nose; 49.5% use the hygienic mask and 44.2% consider that these measures are necessarily effective. | en_US |
