dc.description | Objetivo General: determinar las alteraciones analíticas relacionadas con el uso de medicamentos antirretrovirales en personas que viven con VIH tratados en el Hospital José Carrasco Arteaga durante el período 2018 – 2019. Metodología: se realizó un estudio descriptivo, retrospectivo, apoyado en la revisión de historias clínicas digitales de 233 pacientes con diagnóstico VIH (PVV) que fueron hospitalizados en el área de infectología del hospital José Carrasco Arteaga, se evaluaron las variables edad, sexo, esquema de tratamiento, linfocitos, hemoglobina, triglicéridos, glucosa, neutrófilos, transaminasas, bilirrubinas, creatinina, urea, ácido láctico; para el análisis se utilizaron técnicas estadísticas descriptivas. Resultados: el mayor número de pacientes fueron pacientes de sexo masculino, representando un 86,69 %, de los cuáles el 33,9 % están comprendidos entre las edades de 30 a 29 con la mayor cantidad de pacientes de 32 años. El esquema más utilizado fue “Tenofovir + Emtricitabina + Efavirenz”, con una frecuencia del 57,9 %. La alteración analítica presentada con más frecuencia, en todos los esquemas de tratamiento, es la hipertrigliceridemia, en un 25,8 % de pacientes. El esquema que mayor alteración analítica causó, fue “Tenofovir + Emtricitabina + Efavirenz”, provocando hipertrigliceridemia, en un 25,92 %. El 24,46 %, de pacientes no presentó ninguna alteración analítica. Conclusiones: la mayoría de pacientes hospitalizado durante el período 2018 – 2019, a causa del VIH, en el hospital José Carrasco Arteaga, fueron varones entre los 30 y 39 años. El esquema de tratamiento más utilizado fue “Tenofovir + Emtricitabina + Efavirenz”, causando alteraciones analíticas en la mayoría de pacientes, de las cuales, la hipertrigliceridemia se presentó en la mayoría de ellos. dc.description.abstract | General objective: to determine the analytical abnormalities related with the use of antiretroviral drugs in people who lives with HIV treated in the José Carrasco Arteaga Hospital during the period 2018 – 2019. Methodology: a descriptive, retrospective study, carried out; it was supported by the review of digital clinical histories from 233 patients diagnosed with HIV (PVV), who were hospitalized in the infectology area at the José Carrasco Arteaga Hospital. The evaluated variables were age, gender, treatment scheme, lymphocytes, hemoglobin, triglycerides, glucose, neutrophils, transaminases, bilirubins, creatinine, urea, lactic acid; for the analysis, descriptive statistics’ techniques were used. Results: the majority of patients were male, representing 86.69%, of which 33.9% where between the ages of 30 to 29 with majority of patients with 32 years old. The most used antiretroviral therapy was "Tenofovir + Emtricitabine + Efavirenz", with a frequency of 57.9%. The most common analytic abnormality, in all treatment regimens, was hypertriglyceridemia, in 25.8% of patients. The scheme that caused the greatest analytical alteration was “Tenofovir + Emtricitabine + Efavirenz”, causing hypertriglyceridemia, in 25.92%. 24.46% of patients did not present any analytical abnormality. Conclutions: the majority of patients hospitalized during the 2018-2019 period, due to HIV, at the José Carrasco Arteaga hospital, were men between 30 and 39 years old. The most widely used treatment scheme was "Tenofovir + Emtricitabine + Efavirenz", causing analytic abnormalities in most of the patients, of which hypertriglyceridemia occurred in most of them.
