Diseño de un sistema de gestión de seguridad y salud en el trabajo aplicando la Norma ISO 45001:2018, en el Gobierno Autónomo Descentralizado Municipal del Cantón Gualaceo

Abstract

Safety and Health at Work are fundamental elements in institutional and business management; therefore, it is the responsibility and common task of all those involved. It constitutes the theoretical framework on which the present investigation is developed, with the purpose of exposing the analysis of the problems found within the GADMCG. Public Institutions, as well as the GADMCG have the responsibility of providing Health and Safety conditions to their employees, workers and other people who visit the facilities, since they may be involved in different risks, causing incidents and accidents for not complying with the established regulations on Occupational Health and Safety. The "Design of a Management System for Safety and Health at Work applying the ISO 45001: 2018 Standard, in the GADMCG", has the main objective of minimizing accidents, incidents and occupational diseases, thereby contributing to improving the work environment of employees and workers. With the initial diagnosis carried out in the GADMCG, non-compliance with the technical requirements established by the legal regulations in force in Ecuador was determined. For this study, a qualitative evaluation of the risks was carried out and the Internal Regulations on OSH and the Matrix of Occupational hazards. This research will determine the risks to which workers are exposed and the importance of designing a Health and Safety Management System at Work applying the ISO 45001: 2018 Standard.
