Análisis físico-químico y microbiológico del agua tratada de San Martín de Puzhío, Chordeleg

Abstract

This titling work was carried out with the objective of analyzing the quality of the treated water that is distributed in the San Martín de Puzhío parish of the Chordeleg canton, both in the storage tanks of the treatment plant and in the distribution network, using parameters physical, chemical and microbiological and compare them with the requirements established in the INEN 1108: 2014 norm and the Reglamento de la Calidad del Agua para Consumo Humano de Perú. The total water samples analyzed were 176, among which 144 samples were from the real estate, taken randomly from the 7 sectors, and 32 samples from the treatment plant, of which 16 samples were raw water and 16 of the plant water. The physical, chemical, and microbiological analyses were performed in the Water Analysis Laboratory of the University of Cuenca Balzay Campus, during 8 weeks between November 2018 and January 2019. Residual free chlorine was the only parameter that was determined in situ with the help of the HACH DR 890 equipment. In the data analysis, descriptive statistics were applied using the SPSS program (Statistical Product and Service Solutions) and Excel 2017. The values obtained indicated that the physical-chemical parameters complied with the provisions, except color and residual free chlorine. Regarding the microbiological parameters, the presence of total and fecal coliforms was observed during the 8 weeks of study.
