dc.description | El género es importante en las interrelaciones humanas y el desarrollo socioeconómico de los pueblos, estudios visibilizan desigualdades en sociedades donde la o el adolescente habita. Objetivo: Identificar la influencia del género en el inicio de las relaciones sexuales y el uso de métodos anticonceptivos en adolescentes de Azogues - 2018. Método: Estudio de corte transversal, descriptivo, cuantitativo; muestra al azar de 280 adolescentes de 12 a 18 años de la Unidad Educativa “Luis Cordero”, se aplicó la escala AWSA (Actitudes hacia la Mujer para Adolescentes). Resultado: La media de edad: 14.57 años (DS=1.754); mujeres 58,6%(n=l64) y hombres 41,4%(n=l16). El 95,7%(n=268) de área urbana. Actitud de género: buena en mujeres 37,5%(n=105) y mala 21.1%(n=59), en hombres 13,2% (n=37) y 28,2%(n=79) respectivamente, (RR=1,73,IC:1,39-2,14)Ds<0,05 estadísticamente significativo. Relaciones sexuales: han iniciado 13,2%(n=37), y no 86,8%(n=243). Actividad sexual y actitud de género en mujeres: buena 76,5% (n=13), y mala 23,5% (n=4)(RR=1,82, IC:0,62-5,34) Ds>0,05; y, en hombres: buena 35%(n=7) y mala 65%(n=13)(RR=1,15, IC:0,50-2,64) Ds>0,05. Uso de métodos anticonceptivos y actitud de género en mujeres: buena 84,6% (n=11) y mala 15,4% (n=2); y, en hombres: buena 33,3%(n=5) y mala 66,7%(n=10)(RR=0,92, IC:0,53-1,61) Ds:>0,05. Conclusión: En este estudio, no se encontró influencia del género en el inicio de las relaciones sexuales y el uso de métodos anticonceptivos, dejando planteado el interés a la posibilidad de evaluar la influencia de este factor en poblaciones con características diferentes de escolaridad y de condición sociocultural en estudios posteriores. | es_ES |
