dc.description.abstract | Background: The influence of eating habits during pregnancy are influential factors for the normal development; several complications affect this process, in this sense, preeclampsia is a complication of pregnancy where several factors are related within these are, hereditary, nutritional, family, social and environmental, which predispose the appearance of hypertensive disorders during the pregnancy; in Ecuador it is among the main causes of maternal morbidity and mortality. General objective: To determine the influence of dietary habits on preeclampsia in pregnant women who come to the Health Center No 1 Pumapungo, Cuenca, 2018. Methodological design: A quantitative cross-sectional study. We worked with a finite universe of 24 cases of preeclampsia and 36 cases without preeclampsia, which corresponds to 60 pregnant women who attended the Health Center No 1 Pumapungo during 2018, so the universe corresponds to the sample. To measure eating habits, a Ñaupari 2015 questionnaire was used, with the following criteria: food selection, forms of frequency and frequency of. To determine the association between these variables, the chi square test was used. To determine the association between these variables, the chi square test was used and for the sociodemographic factors a self-prepared and validated form was used. Instrument: To measure the eating habits, the Ñaupari test was applied. Universe and sample: a finite universe was taken that corresponds to 60 pregnant women who went to the Health Center No 1 Pumapungo during 2018, so the universe corresponds to the sample. The universe N = 60 and the sample N = 60. Results: Unhealthy eating habits are the most frequent in pregnant women with or without preeclampsia, with 58.3% (n = 35); there is also a significant association between these and the diagnosis of preeclampsia with a P = 0.01 value with a prevalence ratio, PR = 0.62 (0.85-6.03). Conclusions: There is an influence of eating habits on preeclampsia | es_ES |
