Composición de tres obras del género Jazz Fusión para el quinteto de jazz: guitarra eléctrica, piano eléctrico, bajo eléctrico, trompeta en Bb y batería.

Abstract

The present work of investigation is based on the creation of three themes of jazz fusion genre for the jazz quintet: electric guitar, electric piano, electric bass, trumpet in Bb and drums, through the combination of morphological, rhythmic, harmonic and musical elements melodic genres: blues, swing, son, samba, funk, rock, and jazz fusion. For this, first we proceed to investigate the background of jazz. In addition, the background of the selected genres for the fusion process such as: blues, swing, son, samba, funk, rock and jazz fusion. Also, a morphological, rhythmic, harmonic and melodic description of said genres is elaborated, which is complemented with a brief analysis of several topics related to the aforementioned genres, which will serve as reference and support for the development of the compositions. Then, the three compositions are created and one of them is analyzed, proving in this way that the said composition remains within the style of jazz fusion. Finally, the three compositions are performed in a live concert.
