| es_ES |
dc.description.abstract | Background: The Burnout Syndrome is a negative response to a chronic labor related stress that is generally presented on professionals, as it happens with medical doctors. Objective: To determine the prevalence of the syndrome in general doctors dedicated to primary care in MSP of Cuenca. Materials and Methods: A Transversal Descriptive study, with a universe of 72 doctors. The selection was 60 doctors. Fort the recollection and analysis of the data, we used the MBI questionnaire. Results: Burnout prevalence was of 1.67%, nevertheless; a 26.67% of medics indicated risk of experiencing the syndrome. The most affected the lack of Personal Relation dimension (20%). There was no significant statistical relationship found between Burnout, Risk of Burnout, and the three dimensions; In correlation to demographics or labor. Conclusions and Recommendations: Despite the low prevalence of Burnout, the considerable number of doctors at risk leads us to search for possible factors of risk in order to implement preventative measures. It is recommended to conduct future analytical investigations with a more ample population rate and internal institutional studies in order to obtain more reliable results of statistical association in between variables. | es_ES |
