| Abstract: | The present research work entitled "Profile of the tourist visiting Azogues" arises from the need to know the characteristics of people who visit the city, bearing in mind that, being able to offer products and services, and being aware of the demand is important for both, the private and public sectors.
The city of Azogues has different cultural and natural attractions, in addition to being located near of a great attraction, like the city of Cuenca, cultural heritage of mankind and Ingapirca, archaeological complex important nationwide; the city is more susceptible to receive visits of national and foreign tourists, it creates the need for different researches regarding the characteristics of tourists arriving in Azogues.
For this project, we used methodology combining both quantitative and qualitative, with different research techniques such as: surveys, analysis of information and direct observation.
The purpose of this project is to understand the characteristics of tourists, to be able to generate a profile of the people visiting the city, taking into account variables such as: age, gender, place of origin, motivation, level of instruction, etc., so that Azogues city can direct its efforts and resources to improve the development of its tourism, as well as to encourage research, since the aim of the study is to generate reliable information on the basis of studies and research. |
| Description: | El presente trabajo de investigación que tiene como título “Perfil del turista que visita Azogues” surge de la necesidad de conocer las características de las personas que visitan el cantón Azogues, teniendo en cuenta que, para poder ofertar productos y servicios, se debe tener conocimiento de la demanda, siendo esto importante tanto para la parte privada como pública.
Al poseer el cantón Azogues diferentes atractivos culturales y naturales, además de estar localizada cerca de grandes atractivos de gran afluencia como la ciudad de Cuenca, patrimonio cultural de la humanidad e Ingapirca, complejo arqueológico más importante a nivel nacional; el cantón es más susceptible a recibir visitas de turistas nacionales y extranjeros, así mismo, se crea la necesidad de realizar diferentes investigaciones con referente a las características de los turistas que llegan a Azogues.
Para este proyecto se utilizó la combinación de la metodología tanto cuantitativa como la cualitativa, con sus diferentes técnicas de investigación como son: encuestas, análisis de información y observación directa.
La finalidad del presente proyecto es conocer las características de los turistas, para así poder generar un perfil de las personas que visitan el cantón, tomando en cuenta variables como: edad, género, lugar de procedencia, motivación, nivel de instrucción, etc., de tal manera que el cantón Azogues pueda dirigir sus esfuerzos y recursos de mejor manera, encaminado a mejorar el desarrollo del turismo en el cantón, así como incentivar a la investigación, pues se trata de generar información fiable en base a estudios e investigaciones. |
