Abstract: | BACKGROUND: The early detection of alterations in the development of children allows an early and adequate intervention providing the possibility of improving their evolution, for this reason it is important to perform screening test of psychomotor development in the child population in a timely.
GENERAL OBJECTIVE: To determine the alterations in psychomotor development in children aged 2-6 months of the Hospital del Día Azogues.
• METHODOLOGY: A descriptive study was done, applied to children 2-6 months of age in the area of Pediatrics and Early Stimulation of the Hospital del Día Azogues, as well as a data collection form that will be delivered to parents and application of the Denver II.
The analysis of the data will be carried out by means of descriptive statistics with frequencies and percentages, represented by tables through the software IBM SPSS Statistics 15 free version.
• CONCLUSION: In our investigation according to the results of the Denver II Screening it was found that 61.7% presented a normal result, 31.7% with an abnormal result and 6.7% a doubtful result. In the range of 2 to 5 months normality prevailed, however, in the 6-month group the abnormal result predominated (47.1%). There was not statistically significant relationship between the level of development and the sex and age variables.
USE OF THE RESULT: The results obtained in this research will provide information to students and professionals at the end of the area for future research. |
Description: | ANTECEDENTES: La detección precoz de alteraciones del desarrollo de los niños permite una intervención temprana brindando la posibilidad de mejorar su evolución, por este motivo es importante ejecutar tamizajes del desarrollo psicomotor en la población infantil oportunamente.
• OBJETIVO GENERAL: Determinar las alteraciones en el desarrollo psicomotor en los niños/as de 2-6 meses de edad del Hospital del Día Azogues.
• METODOLOGÍA: Estudio de tipo descriptivo, de corte transversal, aplicado a niños/as de 2-6 meses de edad en el área de Pediatría y Estimulación Temprana del Hospital del Día Azogues, mediante una ficha de recolección de datos que fue entregada a los representantes y la aplicación del Test de Denver II.
El análisis de los datos se realizó mediante estadística descriptiva con frecuencias, porcentajes y para la relación de variables Chi cuadrado, representado mediante tablas a través del software IBM SPSS Statistics 15.
• CONCLUSIÓN: En nuestra investigación según los resultados del Screening Denver II se encontró que el 61,7% presentaron un resultado normal, 31,7% con resultado anormal y 6,7% resultado dudoso. En el rango de 2 a 5 meses predominó la normalidad, sin embargo, en el grupo de 6 meses predomino él resultado anormal (47,1%). No se encontró relación estadísticamente significativa entre el nivel de desarrollo y las variables sexo y edad.
USO DE RESULTADOS: Los resultados obtenidos en esta investigación proporcionaron información a los estudiantes y profesionales a fines al área para futuras investigaciones. |
