Modelo de valoración de riesgos en el proceso de desarrollo de nuevos productos, en la industria del calzado en Gualaceo y Chordeleg

Abstract

Currently the big companies of the fashion industry have developed a new business system, in which the fashion trends change very quickly and there are new collections, weekly in some cases; therefore the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in this specific sector have to follow the big companies to be at the forefront, this causes the process of launching new products in the market become to a risky activity along all the process and where risks must be mitigated through strategies developed by the managers and owners of the companies. Thus, the purpose of the present investigation was to develop a risk assessment model in the new product development in the footwear factories of Gualaceo and Chordeleg. For the realization of this model a representative sample of forty three factories of these cantons were selected to which surveys were carried out in order to obtain the necessary information, then the tabulation and valuation of the data which was done with the proposed guidelines to obtain a matrix by which it was possible to determine that the accelerated changes in fashion trends affect the development of new products in the case of MSMEs, as well as these are affected by the lack of technologies for the development of their activities and monetary loans or incentives for the growth of the workshops, on these risks strategies must be implemented to mitigate their negative consequences.
