Impactos que genera la separación de los padres en niños y niñas de 5-12 años de edad

Abstract

The separation between couples within society are very common the same that are due to factors such as: work, money, education of children, household chores, infidelity and little or little communication between the couple, in cases in Where children exist, separations become more complex, because boys and girls are more vulnerable to this reality because it is difficult for them to understand the situation their parents and therefore their family are going through, being the most affected significant in the social, academic and family areas, which are very important for their integral development within society. According to this bibliographic work, it has been analyzed that most couples do not maintain good communication, this being a cause for separation and that when there are children, it is they who are affected because due to this situation children and girls lower their school performance, they show low self-esteem, antisocial behavior, consumption of psychotropic substances and in the case of adolescent girls, all these impacts are reflected according to the age and maturity with which each child assumes the separation of their parents. The final result is provided by a proposal for intervention from the Family Counseling, with the application of the systemic model, which can be used as a reference, to improve the situation faced by children, who face separation from their parents.
