Propuesta de un plan de manejo del Patrimonio Cultural con fines turísticos del Complejo Arqueológico Cojitambo, provincia de Cañar, Ecuador

Abstract

The main objective of the present intervention project is to create a management plan proposal for tourist purposes of the Cojitambo archaeological complex, province of Cañar, Ecuador with the support of the Parochial Rural Decentralized Autonomous Government of Cojitambo, because there is no a management plan that allows, in an organized way, to take advantage of the tourist potential of the cultural attractions of the area. Within the elaboration of the proposal, the Conceptual Framework is developed, where basic aspects that characterize the archaeological heritage in tourism management are highlighted, as well as the current situation in which the Cojitambo Archaeological Complex is located. Zoning of the area is also presented, taking into consideration the diagnosis made. The Strategies of the proposed Management Plan and the activities necessary for the Socialization of the results obtained. A management plan for tourism purposes becomes important due to the need for a document that regulates the use of the territory through specific proposals and proposals, which establish how the use of the contents can be maximized, what can be done and what is prohibited within a certain territory
