| Abstract: | The objective of this graduation project is to set up a business model for the Maria Auxiliadora Toquilla Straw Weavers Association, as a means to improve competitiveness and efficiency in their operations.
This association’s most prominent activity is the manufacture of toquilla straw products and it is located in the canton of Sigsig, Azuay; nonetheless, they sell their merchandise to a national and international market.
The research made for the construction of the model starts with a diagnostic at a micro and macro-economic level, both inside the organization and out. This preliminary study assumes that the main necessities of this association come from the constant changes of the business environment, as well as the competitiveness level that the organization has to preserve inside its marketplace.
The business model and its main characteristics were developed based on a process of continuous improvement, through the construction of a marketing plan, strategic plan, distribution, and financial analysis. Also, an impact and risk analysis was developed, which can be presented at the implementation phase of the model. This will allow to guarantee the correct implementation and operativity of the model.
Finally, it was concluded that the execution of the model by the organization will result in a considerable development in the market, its stability in it, and the advancement of financial outcome at the end of each period |
| Description: | El objetivo de este trabajo de titulación es establecer un modelo de negocios para la Asociación de Toquilleras María Auxiliadora, de manera que le permita ser más competitiva y eficiente en el desarrollo de sus actividades. La asociación se dedica a la elaboración de productos de paja toquilla y se encuentra ubicada en el cantón Sigsig provincia del Azuay, actualmente la venta de sus productos se dan tanto nacional como internacional.
El trabajo realizado para la elaboración del modelo inicia mediante un diagnóstico a nivel micro y macroeconómico, de manera interna y externa a la asociación; mediante el cual se pudo definir que las principales necesidades de la misma surgen debido a los cambios constantes del entorno empresarial y el nivel de competitividad que debe mantener la asociación dentro del mercado.
El modelo de negocio y sus principales características fueron desarrollados en base a un proceso de mejora continua, mediante la elaboración de un plan de marketing, plan estratégico, distribución de planta y análisis financiero; a su vez, se realizó un análisis de impacto y riegos que se puede presentar al momento de implementar el modelo. Esto nos permitirá garantizar la correcta implementación y operatividad del modelo.
Finalmente se concluyó que la implementación del modelo por parte de la asociación le permitirá un desarrollo considerable en el mercado, la permanencia en el mismo y mejorar sus resultados financieros al cierre de cada periodo |
