Abstract: | This project focuses on the design process of the city-brand of the
San Fernando´s town. The methodology used is based on the Design
Thinking proposal of the Hasso Plattner Institute of Design and the
Institute of Design of Stanford, which is developed through 5 stages,
empathize, define, ideate , prototype and test. In addition, several of
the tools proposed by Ellen Lupton are used.
The work is divided into three chapters, the first started by an
investigation of the conceptual and historical elements involved:
the San Fernando´s town, city-brand and design tools. In the second
chapter are developed the first two stages of Design Thinking:
empathize and define. The third chapter presents the following phases:
ideate, prototype, test and one more stage, applicate. The use of this
methodology responds to the need for the active integration of the
users involved through cooperative methodologies, making them
participants in the design process. |

del cantón San Fernando. La metodología usada se basa en la
propuesta de Design Thinking del Hasso Plattner Institute of Design
y el Institute of Design of Stanford, la cual se desarrolla a través de 5
etapas, empatizar, definir, idear, prototipar y testear.
