Efecto del ozono troposférico en la fisiología de quinua (Polylepis Reticulata) en el Parque Nacional Cajas

Abstract

The Cajas National Park has high concentrations of tropospheric ozone (O3) with respect to the levels of the urban area of the city of Cuenca, because this is a gas that behaves differently from other polluting gases, this gas tends to concentrate in distant places and of great height in relation to the sources of contamination. In this research, the effect of tropospheric ozone on the physiology of Polylepis reticulata in Cajas National Park was studied, within the Cajas National Park a statistical analysis of meteorological data and Landsat 7 and 8 satellite images of the years 2011, 2012, 2013 was carried out. , and 2014 of the spatial and temporal concentration of this gas, followed by the validation of the statistical results of the tropospheric ozone concentrations with data obtained from the EMOV EP air quality reports. Also, a visualization of diseases and a sampling of the leaves of an individual of the species under study of each identified forest of Polylepis reticulata was carried out to perform an analysis of physiological variables such as chlorophyll a and chlorophyll b by means of the spectrometry technique The results were analyzed with the Pearson coefficient (R2) to determine its correlation. At the same time, the generated statistical models were used for the estimation of tropospheric ozone from Landsat 7 and Landsat 8 images, the spectrometric analysis showed significant variations with respect to the meteorological variables and a weak negative correlation with respect to tropospheric ozone, the concentrations of ozone in chlorophyll do not correlate with the physiological variables studied.
