| dc.description | Este proyecto estima la eficiencia en costos para las veintiocho oficinas de la Cooperativa de Ahorro y Crédito “Jardín Azuayo” durante el periodo 2010-2015, utilizando una metodología de frontera estocástica a través de un panel de datos no balanceado. Se considera una función de costos translogarítmica tomando en cuenta la naturaleza multiproduto de la institución y se busca cuantificar tanto los niveles de eficiencia como los factores que inciden en ella. Para el estudio se incluyeron variables que podrían afectar el desempeño de las oficinas, variables relacionadas con la actividad crediticia y aportes a organismos de control. Los resultados evidenciaron rendimientos a escala decrecientes y complementariedad de costos entre los productos, concluyendo que las oficinas con mayor índice de eficiencia son aquellas que presentan incrementos en su cartera de créditos, una creciente generación de ingresos por intereses ganados, lo que permite cubrir el incremento en gastos operacionales necesario para el crecimiento de las oficinas y de la Cooperativa en general | es_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | This Project estimates the Cost Efficiency for the twenty-eight offices of the Cooperativa de Ahorro y Crédito “Jardín Azuayo” during the 2010-2015 period, using a stochastic frontier methodology through of an unbalanced data panel. Taking into account the multiproduct nature of the institution, for this study it is considered to be a translogarithmic function of costs and seeks quantify both the levels of efficiency and the factors that affect it. This study includes variables that affect the performance of the offices, variables related to lending activity and contributions to control organizations. The results show decreasing returns to scale and complementarity of costs between products, with this, it is concluded that the offices with highest efficiency index are those that have increases in its loan portfolio and a growing generation of earned income by interest, with what it can cover the increase in operational expenses necessary for the growth of the offices and the Cooperative | es_ES |
