Desarrollo de un sistema de informacion energético en el consumo de combustibles derivados de hidrocarburos en la jurisdicción de la regional de control de hidrocarburos y combustibles – Azuay

Abstract

An information system for the consumption of fuels derived from hydrocarbons was developed in the jurisdiction of the Regional Control of Hydrocarbons and Fuels - Azuay. The information generated was used for the estimation of energy indicators of sustainable development at local and national level. The indicators calculated at the local level were compared with those calculated at the national level and it was established whether the indicators calculated at the national level are adequate for their application in local energy planning activities. The selected sustainable development energy indicators were estimated according to the methodology and guidelines proposed by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). The information on the consumption of hydrocarbon derived fuels was compiled from the fuel billing and dispatch reports made by The registered commercial actors. The data were stored in a database housed in an Excel spreadsheet, the information processing was performed using data cubes. The social and economic information was compiled from the databases of the Central Bank of Ecuador and the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses. With the information obtained, the indicators were estimated at national, regional, provincial and cantonal level. Comparing the sustainable energy indicators obtained at the national level with the indicators obtained at the regional, provincial and cantonal level differences were found and it was concluded that the indicators calculated at the national level are not adequate for planning at the level of province, canton and parish.
