| es_ES |
dc.description.abstract | Waters that are used for agricultural productivity are being contaminated by human comercial and industrial activities. For this reason the Environmental Ministry regulates these actions in accordance with the environmental legislation, demanding that the water obtained be returned upstream in the same initial or better conditions. When the water is discharged into the sewerage it must also be within settings corresponding to the unified text of the secondary environmental legislation. In order to restore the obtained water to its natural setting it undergoes a cycle of treatments in specialized sewage water treatment plants. The objective of these treatment plants is to produce effluents and mud that can be reused in the environment. These are often called sewage water purifying stations to set them apart from treatment plants that specialize in drinking water. The majority of treatments are based on doses of chemicals such as coagulants and flocculants classifying microorganisms as an efficient environmental treatment for these industrial waters. This study analyzed three treatments of wasteful waters from a tannery in the city of Cuenca. One physical chemical treatment was evaluated (Terra flock GM – Back Flock RR) along with two effective microorganism treatments (EM® y EM1). This experiment developed from the use of DBCA in four repetitions, determining that although the expected result was not obtained the physical chemical treatment gives the best results, significantly decreasing DBO5, DQO, and Cr. Additionally when compared to EM1, EMAs treatments conclude that there is no considerable difference between the captured microorganisms and comercial ones. | es_ES |
