| dc.description | Este artículo presenta el diseño de una red de fibra hasta el hogar (FTTH por sus siglas en inglés), para la ciudad de Cuenca, provincia del Azuay en Ecuador. El objetivo del diseño es llevar a los hogares un gran volumen de información; tomando en cuenta que cada vez existen servicios de telecomunicaciones que requieren un mayor ancho de banda. Por tanto, se consideró una tecnología que permita llegar a la mayor parte de hogares con el menor costo de implementación, y respetando las normativas técnicas/estéticas para el tendido de cables en la urbe. | es_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | This article presents a Fiber To The Home (FTTH), for the city of Cuenca in the province of Azuay, Ecuador. The design goal is to bring to homes an unlimited volume of information, which will be accompanied by the need that telecommunication services every time require larger bandwidth.
