| dc.description | Este estudio trata de establecer los elementos simbólicos y metafóricos, así como las categorías estéticas que se encuentran presentes en los géneros erótico, vitalista, tanatológico, exótico, antirreligioso y narcisista, dentro de una trama sincrética. En tales géneros se encuadra la producción creativa del artista Eduardo Moscoso, así como la situación del Prohibido Centro Cultural de Cuenca-Ecuador, propiedad del mencionado artista. En procura de ese objetivo, se recurre a un estudio descriptivo, analítico e interpretativo de lo más representativo de su obra. Para esta tarea se operan analogías que consideran el marco de los aspectos conceptuales e históricos respecto de la estética y sus categorías, el marco de los rasgos estéticos específicos de la corriente neogótica y el movimiento neobarroco, y también el nexo que relaciona lo neogótico y lo neobarroco con el género denominado vanitas | es_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | This study seeks to establish the symbolic and metaphorical elements as well as the aesthetic categories present in the erotic, lively, thanatological, exotic, antireligious, and narcissistic genres within a syncretic plot. In such genres the artist Eduardo Moscoso’s creative production, and the situation of the Prohibido Centro Cultural [Forbidden Cultural Center] in Cuenca-Ecuador, owned by the mentioned artist, fit. Toward this aim, this thesis realizes a descriptive, analytical, and interpretive study of the most representative of his work. For this task, we employ analogies which consider the frame of the conceptual and historical aspects regarding aesthetics and its categories, the frame of specific aesthetic features of the neogothic current and the neo-baroque movement, and also the link that connects neogothic and neo-baroque with the so-called vanitas genre | es_ES |
