Determinación del proceso para la constitución y funcionamiento de establecimientos hoteleros en el cantón Cuenca, de acuerdo a la Legislación Turística Ecuatoriana vigente al 2015

Abstract

One of the main sources of income for the city of Cuenca now a days is tourism, much of this phenomenon is due to the migratory wave that currently receives this city, this is happening because the Athens of Ecuador is considered as the best city to live, this has generated a considerable growth in the number of tourists who annually visit the city.

The hospitality, as one of the main services of tourism, has been forced, by the competitive increased market, to improve their services based on current laws, this with the intention to establish a solid foundation on which implement a service that satisfy the highest quality standards. The development of this process in recent years in Cuenca, has allowed the hotel marketimprove in quality of services.

The present investigation has focused on the importance of hospitality in the District of Cuenca, its history, importance and development; and its changes based on the different preferences of current demand; all of which has allowed the existence of accommodation categories, the same that are regulated by different institutions like the Tourism Ministryand the Municipal Foundation of Tourism for Cuenca, who control the correct management of the hotel, always seeking excellence and a quality service.
