dc.description | La infección no complicada del tracto urinario inferior se define como la infección de las vías urinarias en la que no está presente lesión estructural o neurológica alguna. Actualmente en la práctica médica representa 5’000.000 de las consultas anuales en los EE.UU. Generalmente se puede afirmar que una paciente joven sexualmente activa, no embarazada con disuria polaquiuria o urgencia recientes sin instrumentación urológica previa o sin uso de antimicrobianos y sin historia de anormalidades genitourinarias tiene ITU inferior no complicada en mujeres, posiblemente por un efecto mecánico introductor de uro patógenos en la vejiga. En los últimos tiempos los fármacos más utilizadas en el tratamiento de ITU inferior no complicada son las fluorquinolonas y las sulfonamidas pues los esquemas de tres días con TMP/SMX y Norfloxacina han demostrado ser considerablemente más efectivos que aquellos con batalactámicos | es_ES |
