| Abstract: | An architectural project expresses the concept and ideology, was intended; first performance in a sketch, as an approach to the meaning of the work; but the use of a suitable structural system, it performs in many cases isolation and suffering it causes modifications, generating functional problems, and ultimately distorts the true concept of this.
Proper design increases the welfare of people, their quality of life; adequate structural system significantly contributes to the functionality of a building.
It will be analyzed from a global perspective, examples in which the structure plays an important role in the design of a building, and then analyze and evaluate the work done by Arch. Mario Roberto Alvarez, one of the most important examples of architecture modern, that gives relevance within the architectural context of the structural system. Three buildings of his own, that have provided structural systems of conceptual rigor and consistency to modern architectural forms will be analyzed; in order to show how the structure becomes a spatial organizer of a building, gathering information and photographic documentation of each, as well as photographic surveys; and after this, analyze the main architectural influences, the impact of the structure on each of them from considering architecture as a functional art, the hypothesis arises whether these systems are suitable for achieving optimal functionality and finally the basic guidelines for a desirable future will be presented. |
| Description: | Un proyecto arquitectónico expresa la concepción e ideología, fue pensado; en una primera interpretación en boceto, como aproximación al significado de la obra; pero la utilización de un sistema estructural adecuado, se lo realiza en muchos de los casos aisladamente, y esto ocasiona que sufra modificaciones, generando problemas funcionales, y que al final tergiversa el verdadero concepto de este.
Un correcto diseño aumenta el bienestar de las personas, su calidad de vida; un adecuado sistema estructural aporta significativamente a la funcionalidad de un edificio.
Se analizará desde una perspectiva global, ejemplos en los cuales la estructura toma un rol importante en la concepción de un edificio, y luego, analizar y valorar el trabajo desarrollado por el Arq. Mario Roberto Álvarez, uno de los más importantes exponentes de la arquitectura moderna, quien da relevancia dentro del contexto arquitectónico al sistema estructural. Se analizarán tres edificios de su autoría, que poseen sistemas estructurales dotados de rigor y coherencia conceptual a las formas arquitectónicas modernas; con el objeto de demostrar como la estructura se constituye en un organizador espacial de un edificio, recopilando información y documentación fotográfica de cada uno de ellos, como también levantamientos fotográficos; y posterior a ello, analizar las principales influencias arquitectónicas, la repercusión de la estructura en cada uno de ellos a partir de la consideración de la arquitectura como un arte funcional, se plantea la hipótesis si dichos sistemas son adecuados para lograr una funcionalidad optima y finalmente se expondrán las líneas básicas para un futuro deseable. |
