| Abstract: | Cuenca is one of the main tourist cities, due to fact that it has many attractions; undoubtedly, the most interesting are the cultural attractions, these attractions, make it a perfect city to visit and the declarations made by UNESCO in 2001, as a World Heritage city, provide added value for visitors.
In the past 20 years,Cuenca has been considered for learning the language and for the cultural richness that Cuenca has. Language tourism or the study of the language, in this case Spanish, has increased dramatically in the entire world, for this reason the present research aims to find out information about of students who visit Cuenca. To reach this objective.This research has been divided into three chapters. The first chapter will focus briefly on the history of language tourism and history of the city of Cuenca.
The second chapter will focus on analysis about socio- demography, motivations, preferences, trends and seasonality of the demand for language tourism. To obtain this information the researchers applied surveys to the students from spanish language school such us: Estudio Sampere, CEDEI (Centro de Estudios Iberoamericanos), Amauta Spanish School, Simón Bolivar Spanish School, Yanapuma Spanish School and the Spanish Program for foreing people that the Lenguage Institute at University has.
In the final chapter the researchers will define the profile of students taking language tourism in the city of Cuenca. At the end, the conclusions reached during its development will be describe. |
| Description: | Cuenca es una de las principales ciudades turísticas del país, debido a que posee numerosos atractivos, sin duda alguna, los de mayor interés son los atractivos culturales, los mismos que hacen una ciudad perfecta para visitar. Fue declarada Patrimonio Cultural de la Humanidad en el 2001, siendo un valor agregado para los visitantes.
En los últimos 20 años, Cuenca ha sido considerada para el aprendizaje del idioma español y la riqueza cultural que posee la ciudad.El turismo idiomático o el estudio del idioma, en este caso el español se ha incrementado considerablemente en todo el mundo, por tal motivo la presente investigación pretende conocer el perfil de los estudiantes que visitan Cuenca para cumplir con su objetivo, para lo cual se ha divido la investigación en tres capítulos. El primer capítulo tratará brevemente la historia del turismo idiomático y sus antecedentes en la ciudad de Cuenca.
En el segundo capítulo se realizará el análisis socio-demográfico, motivaciones, preferencias, tendencias y estacionalidad de la demanda del turismo idiomático en la ciudad de Cuenca, para lo cual se realizaron encuestas a estudiantes de los centros de enseñanza del idioma español que son objeto de estudio, tal es el caso de:Estudio Sampere, CEDEI (Centro de Estudios Iberoamericanos), Amauta Spanish School, Simón Bolivar Spanish school, Yanapuma Spanich School y el Programa de español para extranjeros que maneja el Instituto Universitario de Lengua de la Universidad de Cuenca.
En el capítulo final se definirá el perfil de los estudiantes que realizan turismo idiomático en la ciudad de Cuenca. Al final se describirán las conclusiones obtenidas durante el desarrollo del mismo. |
