| dc.description | Se realizó un estudio epidemiológico descriptivo con la finalidad de identificar la prevalencia antígeno de superficie de la hepatitis B, en el suero personal de los laboratorios clínicos de la ciudad de Cuenca: La muestra se seleccionó al azar entre el personal de instituciones tanto públicas como privadas y se fijó en 100 participantes, a los cuales se les realizó una encuensta cuyos datos se consignaron en un formulario, evaluando filiación, ocupación y factores de riesgo. Adicionalmente se les practicó una determinación en sangre del HBsAg mediante la reacción de inmunoanálisis ligado a enzimas. [ELISA] la información se procesó con la ayuda del programa EPI-INFO analizándose las variables en relación con los objetivos propuestos. Se concluye que pese a tener un 16 por ciento de los casos más de un factor de riesgo para contagio con virus de la hepatitis B [VHB] incluida la ocupación, ninguno de los trabajadores del laboratorio investigado fue positivo para HBsAg. | dc.description.abstract | A descriptive epidemiological study was conducted in order to identify the prevalence of surface antigen of hepatitis B, the staff serum clinical laboratories of the city of Cuenca: The sample was randomly selected among the staff of public and private institutions and it was set at 100 participants, which underwent one poll whose data were entered in a form, evaluating affiliation, occupation and risk factors. Additionally they underwent blood determination of HBsAg by reaction of enzyme-linked immunoassay.
