| dc.description | Se trata de un estudio retrospectivo realizado en el Hospital de SOLCA de la ciudad de Cuenca, con el objetivo de determinar la incidencia de los tumores malignos del sistema hepatobiliar entre los años de 1997 a 2002. Se encontraron 136 pacientes con este diagnóstico, de los cuales 35 fueron del sexo masculino y 101 fueron del sexo femenino. Los tumores malignos y sus respectivas frecuencias fueron: tumor de vía biliar extrahepática 68.38, hepatocarcinoma 24.26, hepatoblastoma 4.41y tumor de via biliar intrahepática 2.94. Todos los tumores fueron más frecuentes en mujeres. Los pacientes con una edad comprendida entre los 40 a 79 años representan el 80.14 del total de individuos; de 20 a 29 años no se dio un solo caso lo que hace pensar que este grupo etario está de agluna manera protegido. La mayoría de pacientes (57.35) fueron diagnosticados según el TNM en el estadio 4, lo que tiene relación con el tipo de tratamiento másfrecuente que fue el sintomático, ya que en etapas avanzadas el tratamiento mas factible es es paliativo | es_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | This is a retrospective study SOLCA Hospital of the city of Cuenca, in order to determine the incidence of malignant tumors of hepatobiliary system between the years 1997 to 2002. 136 patients with this diagnosis were found, the 35 of them were male and 101 were female.
