"Prevalencia y factores de riesgo asociados a la enfermedad hipertensiva en embarazadas en el Hospital Obstétrico Angela Loayza de Ollague en el departamento de Gineco-Obstetricia. Santa Rosa-El Oro. Año 2011-2013"

Abstract

OBJECTIVE: Determine the prevalence of hypertensive disease among pregnant women at Obstetric Angela Loayza de Ollague Hospital. Years 2011 – 2013. Santa Rosa – 2014. METODOLOGY: It was a descriptive – retrospective study carried out in 115 patients who came to the service of obstetrics of the Obstetric Angela Loayza de Ollague hospital located in Santa Rosa city, between periods of January 2011 to December 2013. To determine the prevalence, associated factors and complications, a parent questionnaire was applied to the medical histories of the patients. Data analysis was performed with the SPSS statistical package and the results are presented in simple tables. RESULTS: The prevalence of hypertensive disorders of pregnancy was 3.66%; the average age was 24.74 years with a DS of 7.42 years; being the group with more patients aged between 19-23 years with 28.7%; in relation to marital status 64.3% were found in free union. For 45.2% of the population, the diagnosis was mild pre-eclampsia, with a smaller percentage; severe pre-eclampsia was present in 33.9% of the population. Risk factors were associated with: family history 41.7%; gestational age greater than 37 weeks 76.5%; gilt 67%; and prenatal controls 83.5% (minimum 5 controls); The way of termination of pregnancy was 73.9% (85 cases) through childbirth and 26.1% by caesarean section. The main complication was uterine hypotonia with 19.1% of cases, and in newborns, with 17.4% of the cases, was underweight, < 2,500 g.

CONCLUSION: The prevalence of hypertensive disease in pregnant patients in Obstetric Angela Ollague de Loayza Hospital was 3.66% well below the 10% raised.
