| dc.description | Este documento analiza los efectos dinámicos del impacto de los precios del petróleo sobre el producto interno bruto en Ecuador, además de establecer el rol de los diferentes choques (entre externos ydomésticos) para explicar las fluctuaciones de su crecimiento en el tiempo. Los modelos usados para este fin se basan en la metodología de vectores autoregresivos (VAR) y vectores autoregresivos estructurales (SVAR). A partir de estos modelos, se encuentra en primer lugar que nuestro país se comporta en línea con lo que refiere la literatura global acerca de economías netamente exportadoras de petróleo y altamente dependiente de sus ingresos, es decir positivamente frente a variaciones favorables sobre sus precios, y negativamente ante innovaciones o impactos externos desfavorables. En segundo lugar al analizar de manera sistemática la influencia de los impactos o choques de precios del petróleo enfrentado a otros(oferta agregada, demanda agregada y precios nominales) que determinan el crecimiento nacional, se encuentra que los impactos del petróleo no poseen “efectos instantáneos” sobre las fluctuaciones del mismo, pero este se arraigan con mayor fuerza en el horizonte temporal que los anteriores. | es_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | This paper analyses the dynamic effects of oil price shocks on gross domestic product in Ecuador, and establishes the role of the different shocks (between externals and domestics) in explaining output fluctuation over time. The models used for this purpose are related to Vector Autoregressive (VAR) and StructuralVector Autoregressive (SVAR) methodology. Taking these models, firstly is founded that our country behaves in line with concerts the global literature about net oil exporting economies and highly dependent of their revenues i.e. positively with favorable variations on input prices, and negatively to innovations or adverse externals shocks. Secondly, analyzing systematically the influence of oil price impact /shockfacing some others (aggregate demand, aggregate supply, nominal prices) on the national output, we founded that oil impacts don’t have “instant” effects on the fluctuations of this, but it hold “strongly” in the horizon time than the rest. | es_ES |
