Análisis y diseño de un Datamart y la construcción de un prototipo de solución de inteligencia de negocios para la Empresa Gerencia de Sistemas de Información Impocomjaher Cia. Ltda.

Abstract

This work is focused on design, development and implementation of a datamart and the creation of a prototype for the sales and collections departments of Impocomjaher. This topic has many steps, First a review of the infrastructure, the second task is a requeriments analysis with the managers of sales and collections departments to know which are their specific information needs for decision making, the third step is determining indicators of the departments and the mapping with transactional data to choose the tables and fields for the datamart creation and the granularity level of the indicators. The fourth step is building the logic model to establish the dimensions and facts tables and the relationship with the indicators. The fifth step is the creation of the initial loading processes to fill the dimensions and facts tables and also the indicators updating processes and its frequency (ETL). Finally we build the datamart and a prototype of visualization of the information to review the indicators, also we make the operational manuals of the datamart.
