Our thesis is divided into four chapters. The first one, BIOGRAPHY, is about Cooper`s life, then in the Navy, and his marriage. Also, this chapter explains his literary career and his journeys as a writer to Europe. Finally, this chapter ends with the death of James Fenimore Cooper. The second chapter, HISTORICAL EVENTS, is about the time that Cooper and his father lived. This chapter explains the French and Indian War and the bases that were set up for the new country and its new constitution. Also, we refer to the first four presidents of the United States, as a free country. Finally, this chapter explains how the Southern Aristocracy and its way of thinking led to the Civil War which is considered one of the worst episodes of the history of the United States. The third chapter, ANALYSIS OF A SELECTED WORK, "THE LAST OF THE MOHICANS," AND A BRIEF STUDY OF THE SEA NOVELS, describes the frontier novel, The Last of the Mohicans. Also, we refer to the Sea Novels. These novels written by Cooper were considered the first in their class, on a theme that was taken by other authors as the topic of future writings. Finally, the fourth chapter, HOW THE HISTORY OF COOPER`S TIME IS REFLECTED OR NOT IN HIS WORKS, explains how Cooper`s Father's and Cooper`s grandfather`s time and Cooper`s own time influenced Cooper and his novels. Cooper reflected three times, his Father's, his grandfather`s and his ownes_ES
